he grew up in one of the poorest countries, Indonesia. He worked, as a community organizer, in one of the poorest communities in Chicago. And he wants to progressively tax those that make more. Is this just a spurious charge made by republicans to scare democrats into not trusting or voting for Obama?

Right now I am busy clinging to my guns and religion, being the typical white person that I am. But seriously, statement like that, make him seem elitist. His judgment on how others choose to live and worship,, are none of his business.

Obama mocked small town ppl to his millionaire buddies in San. Fransisco. Obama stated that ppl clung to their guns and religion because the government had failed them. Which means Obama feels that if the government did all the thinking for the average american they wouldn't need their guns and they wouldn't need God. I'd say that's pretty darn arrogant and most definitely something an elitist like Obama would say.

Thanks for correcting us. The fact that he wants to progressively tax those that make more does not make Obama an elitist. It makes him a socialist. Glad you've cleared that up for us.
