Ok, you are gonna laugh at this one - they are MADE in Indonesia, so they darn well better work there too! The Aquos is especially noted as being totally compatable with everything there.
2 :
all tv's should work since they all support PAL and NTSC unless the voltage is different, then you would have to get a transformer.
3 :
Wait, before you buy please check the unit. Indonesia use 220V electric voltage and local broadcast is PAL. I think US use NTSC, so if the TV is not Multy you won't be able to receive any local broadcast in Indonesia. Never heard if Aquos is made in Indonesia.

You have to get permission from the governments of every country you are going to be working in to do the work you want to do -- both at the national and the local levels. You have to sit down with them face-to-face -- this can't be done via email or th ephone. These governments will prefer that you work with local partners, so you need to seek out local NGOs in each country that will partner with your organization directly. Each country will have different paperwork to complete and hoops to jump through, and requirements will also depend on the kind of work you want to do -- for instance, if you want to build schools, the governments will want assurances that you will hire local people for such work. They will also want your nonprofit to be fully and appropriately registered in the USA, with copies of paperwork to prove it. You will also need to set up bank accounts in each country where you want to work.

Indonesia and Islam?? (-:?
I have always wondered since Indonesia has the highest population of Muslims, if the government in Indonesia worked together with the Indonesian government to allow Muslims to get a special type of school or something. If the muslim church and the Indonesian government work together, what do they work together about? the best answer will receive 5 Stars :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D Thanks ;-)

Yes, Indonesia has the most Moslem population in the world but it is not an Islamic country (it does not impose Islamic law). Moslems go to the mosque, Christians go to church. There are many types of schools in Indonesia: Public, Private (including Catholic schools, Islamic schools/Madrasah etc). The Ulemas (Moslem Scholars) as well as other high rank officials of other religions (Budhism, Hinduism, Catholic, Protestant) and the government work together in many different sectors in Indonesia, such as Education, Public Welfare, Tourism etc. Hope it helps.

I have the chance to work in Melaka for two years, can anyone advise on housing & second international schools

I have the chance to work in Melaka for two years, can anyone advise on housing & second international schools
I have been asked by my employer if I would work in Melaka, Malaysia for two years, I've worked in Singapore & Indonesia so have some experience of Asia. However I now have a young family so need advice on housing, schooling and general security in the area. I'm looking for any reviews on (MIS) Melaka International School, my eldest has just started secondary school and following the British curriculum is vital.

There isn't many International school in Malaysia & most of them are located in Kuala Lumpur. Below are some link to MIS, hope it can be of helpful to you. Good Luck.
2 :
You'll love Melaka, because this state is full of historical background. It is small and have plenty of food to choose from. It is like a getaway from the hustle bustle life of a city in S'pore... You'll like it beside it is quite near to beachfront... Hope you choose well.
3 :
There is one international school. I attached the site below: http://www.mis.edu.my/ Since your child is in primary school it should be fine. I know that MIS is focused to Cambridge Certificate Examinations & I have a friend in Melaka who says its fine for primary students. Otherwise, for secondary, you should consider your family living in KL & being a weekend parent. There are very good international schools in KL. If you don't want to be a weekend parent & can afford a driver & do your email in the car, you could actually commute (2 hours one way) each day. There are also some international schools in KL with dormatories if you are comfortable leaving a teenager in a dorm.... As a place to live, Melaka is much nicer. Cost of living is cheaper & you can live in much larger quarters & even get a house with a yard or 1/4 price in KL. You should be able to rent a furnished house for about RM1000 & live very comforably. If you prefer condos there are some nice condos even with ocean views & pools. Again you should be able to get a 2 bedroom condo furnished for about 1000. You should enjoy Malaysia/Melaka over Indonesia/Singapore. Its safer & cleaner than Indonesia and much more interesting (& cheaper) than Singapore. So many things to do!! Cheers.
4 :
Speaking from personal experience, I would suggest houses located near the town center. Ideal housing areas include Ujong Pasir, Semabok and Bukit Cina. At the end of the day, it depends how far are you willing to travel for work and school. Melaka is generally free from heavy traffic congestion. Most times one would find that the traffic lights are more of a nuisance than the cars on the road. As for schooling, local schools such as SMK Infant Jesus Convent or Canossa Convent are considered among the best in Melaka town centre. Having spent my adolescent life there, I can safely say that your child should do just fine as those schools were previously missionary schools so the teachers generally speak fluent English. Having said that, I have just graduated with a Masters from UK. (that should give you a clue on the quality of education in Melaka :). As for preschool/kindergarten, there is a very well known daycare and montessori in Bukit Baru that goes by the name of "Montessori Little Children House".The school is very well known among the academia community in Melaka for their quality of education (also, their language medium is English, Malay and Chinese). Suffice to say, where else can you find such a conducive place to learn multiple languages? By the way, its the same with the secondary schools that I mentioned earlier. The students will have the option of learning the three main languages simultaneously. As for security, Melaka is comparably safer than the main cities like Kuala Lumpur or even London. Having travelled London last year, I would say that the general safety rules apply in Melaka but with less paranoia. As for food, yes glorious food! Melaka is a haven for food aficionados with a wide variety of Chinese, Malay, Indian and many other fusion dishes. And guessing that you're from UK, there is a neighbourhood Tesco supermarket in the town centre as well. :) I've heard that French supermarket Carrefour would be opening soon too. Finally, if you're still not convinced, perhaps Lonely Planet can offer you more pertinent information. http://www.lonelyplanet.com/worldguide/destinations/asia/malaysia/melaka That's all I can think of now, but if you need further information, feel free to drop us a line here at Yahoo!. Have a pleasant stay ahead!

I hope that my Indonesian is not bad, I learned it from my Indonesian boyfriend Daniel. Good Luck.

You have to take your helper to the British Consulate in Central to apply for the U.K. visa, as for the Schengen visa, because it would allow you to travel through Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden etc., you have to apply for the Schengen visa at one of the above country's consulate in Hong Kong. It is advised that it is better to apply in the country where you plan to stay the longest but from what I heard, the French Embassy can be difficult. You can also check out this site: http://www.eurovisa.info. Best of luck because Indonesian Passport can be problematic but if you hit a wall in one consulate, go to another one immediately. Best of luck !

Angola preferred that you get your visa in your own country. At least that's what I was told by the Angolan consulate when I had to go to Angola. Angola is a Portuguese speaking country, some employees in the hotel do speak English. Be prepared to dish out a lot money for your stay, Luanda, is quite expensive for any type of visitors that's why you don't see a lot of tourists. To get a business visa you will need a letter of invitation from the company in Angola, proof for financial ability, proof of return flight, your passport, application and passport photos. This is what I had to do in the US. Call the Angola consulate to make sure on your end.

Which GPS receiver brand best works in Indonesia

Which GPS receiver brand best works in Indonesia?
What GPS brand can have Indonesia maps?
Other - Electronics - 1 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
Garmins are readily available on the international market. They have been around for years along with Magellan. Now, many or all of the common brands of GPS receivers do not have maps available for every country or major city of the world. Even if they had maps available, they may not have the type for the tourist or a person trying to navigate a city such as Jakarta or the countryside on Bali. However, there are plenty of topographical maps available and you either have to submit a request for one or possibly find one that is in downloadable format on the internet. If your country has an embassy in Indonesia, my recommendation is to contact them and ask for suggestions, links, contact info and so forth. To use the topographical maps, you may be required you to set your GPS device to “MGRS” or even “lat long”. Now, with all that being said, it is highly possible that maps of Indonesia are available for GPS use but remember there are many islands that make up the country. There have many features available for the receivers but it could be limited depending on location. Also, many of the GPS devices build maps or chart your progress as you negotiate terrain such as going on a trek in the forest. If you wanted to trek or navigate a city, but the device did not have a map to support the area, then go with the MGRS and save “way points” as you navigate through the countryside or city. This may not help you when looking for a certain street you are looking for but it can bring you back to your starting point. If I was in your shoes, I would contact one of the two GPS brands I mentioned, Garmin or Magellan and ask specific questions.

Will SIM card purchased in Singapore work with roaming in Indonesia?
Will travel off the first leg to batam island of Indonesia and tetrenganu of malaysia, not sure if this plan will work for roaming, I hate buying a new sim for in new place for a short stay.

Depends with your carrier
2 :
The Indo cards are different. You will either have to buy one or let yourself be without communication for a couple of days. Its not a bad Idea to have Sim cards from all the Asian countries. some of the new wallets actually have multiple Sim card pockets built in. good luck.
3 :
if you bring smart and globe, i think they will work.**
4 :
That actually depends on the service provider of the sim that you bought. If you buy Singtel, I think that they do provide roaming to a lot of neighboring Asian countries. However, if you bought, say, a Globe sim (coz they sell those in Singapore, under Singtel), then you could apply for roaming service and you can use your sim almost anywhere. :)
5 :
I use a Starhub Green prepaid card. It allows roaming at decent rates (see below). The sim card costs $18 and comes with $18 worth of credit -- you can buy it at any 7-Eleven (take your passport as you'll need to register it). Top-up cards worth $18 can be bought for around $15 in many places. You need to activate roaming before you leave Singapore by dialing *111#.

You need to communicate with employment agent in Indonesia, I have some email addresses, but not handy for the time being. I am sure you may web search, use Manpower suppliers from Indonesia, employment agents in Indonesia ,,,etc. you will get thousands. You have to clearly specify your requirements, make interview / trade test of the candidate prior to mobilization, agree on the agent fees and get the candidate signature on your employment terms prior to mobilization. Indonesian workforce normally good, but avoid many of them, control the drinking habits, keep monitoring the hygiene, show you are the boss all the time and always remind him your standing instructions and his duties. In the other hand you have to show appreciation for the good work also recognition and reward. They cannot work independent, the have to be closely supervised. By the way, I have employed a lot of Indonesian ships crew including cooks. You may call me latter on "profiss_bogy@yahoo.com" to furnish you with reliable agents.

Does Indonesia send a gymnastic team to the Olympics

Does Indonesia send a gymnastic team to the Olympics?
My daughter has been training in gymnastics since she was a toddler. She is eight now and has done well in the competitions she has been in. My husband is moving to Indonesia for work, and may be there for ten years. We are planning on moving with him, but can't seem to find any information anywhere about gymnastics in Indonesia. Do you know if they send a team or participate in the Olympics? How can we continue my daughter's training there? Also if she gets training in a foreign country will that hurt her eligibility in meets?
Olympics - 3 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
Your daughter will compete for the country of her citizenship, regardless of where she lives or trains. There are elite gymnastic training sites in Indonesia. Teams and individuals must have a world ranking to enter the Olympics, everyone can not enter. Training in a foreign country is not unusual for elite athletes in all sports.
2 :
I believe that Indonesia does have a gymnastics team. But, she will not be able to compete for them unless she is a citizen. So if she remains a US citizen, she will be competing for the US in the Olympics, but for her gym at smaller meets. You can continue training by finding a gym that will take her on. Training in a foreign country will NOT effect her eligibility, but it may make it a bit more confusing for you. She will still be able to compete in any meets in Indonesia, and a few international ones in the USA. Good Luck!

Australia has a history of problems with Indonesia, whereas Britain not so much. You'd probably be safe on either - depending on what you intend to do and where you plan to go while here. You never did state what your plans in Indonesia are.

I think it won't be necessary to think about your nationality when you go to Indonesia. As I am a balinese and live in Bali, we have never been in a problem with foreigners, and I also see a lot foreigners live and work here.

This cannot be help. Companies need to keep their overheads low so that tey can make huge profits for their invesors. Automation sadly can displace people, so people will have to re-train to do jobs that cannot be done by computers.
2 :
its call globalization dumba55. computer just the machine and they will still need HUMAN BRAIN. You can see who has BRAIN and who`s not..... LIKE YOU!!!!
3 :
I was told that there were no computers in hell. Why don't you excuse yourself, and go check it out? While you're there, say hello to Osama and friends. And, please .. don't bother to come back. We no longer need people like you. We are long for a peaceful and quite world. Have a safe travel to hell!
4 :
My dad was a banker, and the bank (Citibank) in Alabama office employed about 1000 employees before the 90's. Now they had expanded the business, the odd thing is the number of employees kept declining until about 900 employees although they opened new branches in countries or downtowns. I think ARS is right at some points. The brain stuff huh? You don't need to be a grandmaster to beat Kasparov, chessmaster software will easily do it for you. I know a friend in MIT who can simulate human's brain. We can't race against the machine. Siallan, have you ever heard the term "Artificial Inteligence" or "fuzzy logic"? A single chip can solve algebra equations 10.000 times the number you can solve from 1st grade to 12th grade in just a second .
5 :
On the other hand, computer creates many jobs too. See how many people are working on computer stuff in Mangga Dua, Glodok or Roxy area. Don't blame the technology just because you cannot operate the computer.
6 :
This question is quite interesting. BJ Habibie once said that 1 ton of rice worth only 1 million Rp (that time) while 1 ton of technology worth 1 million US$. Devastated you said that computer makes jobs for their sales & technical service... I can say that the IT fields may make living for 1000-2000 people in Indonesia but make 1000000-2000000 people jobless.
7 :
You cannot blame the computer, dude... It is effect of globalization... If you don't want lose your job, don't live like the past when all job only doing manually....! Remember, computer still need person who can operate them... So, you must expert operating computer, even only Microsoft Office, since at present if you want to get a job, you must expert in certain software... Be smart! Experting use computer could make your live better... If you lose your job, like you've said, because your job replaced by computer, you can use computer to get work again... ! You can get money from Internet. You can open "store" without need a building, you just create your own website to promote your products. You can open computer course to children. You can use computer to write your own novel. Or, you can use computer to design post-card that you can sell to bookstore.
8 :
Computer can't work by itself. It needs somebody to operate it. It is everybody's responsibility to upgrade their competence to keep up. Stop whining. Start working hard and thinking smart. Cut down birth rate to improve the quality, not the quantity. Improve the education system. Stop corruption! Stop clinging to your past. Far before you were even born, there were cave men... Do you want to live in the cave and give up the facilities you have now? I bet you'll miss your computer a lot. If the bank employees are asked to choose whether they'd like to work with their computers or to work manually, what do you think they'd choose? I bet they wouldn't let go off their computers. Would you?
9 :
Hai, I think you're very funny guy... never tired of asking dumb question ha? :D STOP waste your time here, and get your self write a letter rather then sending email. in that case you're giving more jobs to a post man.
10 :
kindda hard to grasp what you meant. but here it goes: Computer does not cause unemployment in Indonesia. Unemployment caused by low quality of human resources. lack of initiative and break through in thinking makes company hard to grow, not enough leaders to lead the company eventually make company can not grow. Computer really makes job easier but it also makes company even more productive and should have more income thus more power to employ even more people. just can not employ stupid people who will just consume company's power

I want to get a nonimmigrant US Visa for my newly adopted baby girl in indonesia. what do I do?
I have just adopted a daughter from Indonesia. I am a US citizen and my husband is an Indonesian citizen with US permanent residence status. We live and work in Indonesia but would like to visit the US for 3 weeks. What documents will the US embassy want to see when we apply for a temporary nonimmigrant US visa? What kind of questions will the embassy ask when they interview us?

Who is Considered an Orphan? Under U.S. immigration law, a foreign-born child is an orphan if he or she does not have any parents because of the death or disappearance of, abandonment or desertion by, or separation or loss from, both parents. A foreign-born child is also an orphan if his or her sole or surviving parent is incapable of providing care of the child and has, in writing, irrevocably released the child for emigration and adoption. For such a child to gain immigration benefits, an orphan petition must be filed before his or her 16th birthday. An orphan petition may be filed before the child's 18th birthday, if the child is a natural sibling of an orphan or adopted child, and is adopted with or after that child, by the same adoptive parents. Who is eligible to file an orphan petition? A married U.S. citizen and spouse (no special age) or an unmarried U.S. citizen at least 25 years of age may file an orphan petition. The spouse does not need to be a U.S. citizen; however, the spouse must be here legally if living in the United States. To make the adoption process faster, you may apply for advanced processing before you actually find an orphan to adopt. An application for advance processing may be filed by anyone eligible to file an orphan petition. An unmarried U.S. citizen may file an application for advance processing if the U.S. citizen is at least 24 years of age and will be at least 25 when an orphan petition is filed on behalf of an actual child and when the child is adopted. Where Can I Find the Law? The complete orphan definition can be found in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) at Section 101(b)(1)(F). The specific eligibility requirements and procedures for applying for immigration benefits for an orphan are included in the Code of Federal Regulations [CFR] at 8 CFR § 204.3. How Do I Apply? What is the quickest way to bring a foreign-born orphan that I adopt to the U.S.?The fastest way is to file USCIS Form I-600A (Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition) before you identify a foreign-born child to adopt. This allows the USCIS to first process the application that relates to your ability to provide a proper home environment and your suitability as a parent. Then, once a child who meets the INA's definition of orphan is identified, you must file USCIS Form I-600 (Petition to Classify Orphan as an Immediate Relative) on behalf of the child. Should I do "advance processing" if I've already identified the child? Yes, it is generally advisable for all prospective adoptive parents to do advance processing. You should do advance processing even if you are traveling to the country where the child is located and will file an orphan petition at an overseas Immigration office (or at an American consulate or embassy if there is no Immigration office in the country). By completing advance processing, you will ensure that USCIS has already processed the application that relates to your ability to provide a proper home environment and your suitability as a parent before you adopt a child in a foreign country. This is important, because you will not be allowed to bring a child that you have adopted to the United States if you are found to be unable to provide that child with a proper home environment or you are found unsuitable as a parent. What kind of information about myself and my spouse will I, as the petitioner, need to provide to the USCIS? You must provide proof of U.S. citizenship. If you are married and living in the United States, you must provide evidence of your spouse's U.S. citizenship or lawful immigration status as well as proof that you are married and that any previous marriages ended legally. You must submit a complete and current home study within prescribed time limits. You may also have to prove that you have complied with the preadoption requirements of the state in which you will live with your adopted child. You must submit the required filing fee for your application, and be aware that each adult member of the household must be fingerprinted by the USCIS. Please refer to USCIS' The Immigration of Adopted and Prospective Adoptive Children (document M-249N, revised September, 2000) for more information. Questions and answers about Fingerprinting Procedures in the Adoption Application Process Q: I have adopted my child and brought him/her into the country. Is there any reason for me to be fingerprinted again? A: No, there is no need for you to be fingerprinted again. Your application for a specific child was approved. If you file another I-600A application to adopt another child, you will need to be fingerprinted at that time. Q: I filed an I-600A and an I-600 application in your office. The I-600A was approved 12 months ago, and the I-600 was approved 10 months ago. My child will be brought into the U.S. in 4 months. My fingerprints, taken when I filed my I-600A, expire in 3 months. Should I be reprinted? A. No, you do not need to be printed again. You filed both your I-600A and your I-600, and got approvals on both within the 15 months that your prints were valid. Q. My I-600A was approved 12 months ago, and I had my fingerprints taken when I filed my application. That would mean that my prints will expire in 3 months. I plan to bring my child home in 2 months and want to file an I-600 then. Should I be printed again, just in case? A: Yes, if you will be filing an I-600 application within 30 days of your fingerprint expiration, it is recommended that you be printed again. Q: I brought in my I-600A application 6 months ago, and it was approved 3 months ago. If I don’t know when I will be filing my I-600, should I be re-fingerprinted so that I can be assured that my prints will remain valid for the duration of my approval? A: No, it is best if you wait until you are certain that your prints will expire before having them taken again. Have your prints taken again a month before expiration. Q: If I do need to be re-fingerprinted, will I need to pay the fee? A: Yes, if you need to be re-fingerprinted you will need to pay the $70 fingerprinting fee for each adult member of your household being re-fingerprinted. Please note, the fingerprint fee cannot be paid at the Application Support Center (ASC) where your fingerprints are taken. The fingerprint fee must be paid at your local U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office. When you go to the USCIS office to be scheduled for fingerprints, bring your I-171H approval notice with you. You will then be provided with a referral letter/appointment notice giving you the date, time and location to appear for fingerprinting. Q: How will I know that my fingerprint files are about to expire? A: Your fingerprint clearances files expire 15 months after the date that the USCIS received a response from the FBI. This is approximately 15 months from the date that you were fingerprinted Q: I am planning to travel overseas to file my I-600. Can I wait and be fingerprinted at the Embassy or Consulate? A: Yes, you can. You should be aware that the fingerprint clearance process for persons fingerprinted overseas takes much more time than it does for those who are fingerprinted in the United States. If your fingerprints have expired, or will expire before your date of travel, you should contact your local USCIS office to be fingerprinted again so that your fingerprints can be processed sooner. What kind of information about the child will I need to provide to the USCIS? You must provide: The child's birth certificate or, if the certificate is unavailable, evidence of the child's age and identity; Proof that the child is an orphan as defined by the INA; A final decree of adoption, if applicable; Proof of legal custody of the child for emigration and adoption, if applicable; and Proof of compliance with preadoption requirements, if applicable. (Please refer to The Immigration of Adopted and Prospective Adoptive Children (document M-249N, revised September, 2000) for more specific information on this question). Can I adopt a foreign-born orphan and bring him/her to the U.S. without involving the USCIS? No, there is no way an orphan can legally immigrate to the U.S. without USCIS processing. Can I adopt a child from any country in the world? Countries experiencing social or political upheaval. USCIS shares your concern for the children of countries experiencing social or political upheaval. However, adopting children from a country in crisis is usually not a feasible way to assist them. There are a number of reasons for this. During times of crisis, it can be exceptionally difficult to fulfill the legal requirements for adoption of the child's country of origin. This is especially true when civil authority breaks down. It can also be very difficult to gather documents necessary to fulfill the legal requirements of the immigration law of the United States. Also, in a crisis situation, it can be extremely difficult to determine if children whose parents are missing are truly orphans. It is not uncommon in a hostile situation for parents to send their children out of the area, or to become separated during an evacuation. Even when children have been truly orphaned or abandoned by their parents, they are often taken in by other relatives. International conventions place a strong preference on keeping children within extended family units and within their culture as opposed to uprooting the child completely. Finally, corruption and lawlessness are more likely in such countries. This increases the risk that you may be provided with false documents or otherwise taken advantage of as you attempt to adopt a child. For these reasons, individuals considering adoption from a country in crisis should proceed with extreme caution. They should review the Department of State's website and contact their local USCIS office early in the process to avoid disappointment at not being able to complete the adoption and emigration of a child. Countries that do not permit adoption Some countries do not permit adoption and will grant legal custody only so long as the applicant for custody resides in that country. This is often true in countries that apply Islamic law. Children from such countries do not qualify for immigrant status in the U.S. Where Can I File My Application? You should file your advanced processing application with the USCIS district or suboffice that serves the area where you live. Please see our USCIS offices home page for more information on USCIS office locations. Forms and USCIS' guide to orphan petitions are available by calling 1-800-870-3676. For further information on filing fees, please see USCIS filing fees. Also, please see our fingerprints page for more information on USCIS fingerprinting procedures. If I am a U.S. citizen, will the child I adopt automatically become a citizen too? When an orphan enters the United States with an immigrant visa, he/she is considered to be a lawful permanent resident of the United States, not a U.S. citizen. Please see our Backgrounder page for more information. There are exceptions to this and in some situations, a child might become a United States citizen upon admission into the United States as a lawful permanent resident. How Do I Find out about the Status of My Application? Please contact the USCIS office that received your application. You should be prepared to provide the USCIS staff with specific information about your application. Please click here for complete instructions on checking the status of your application. Click here for information on USCIS offices. Can I Appeal? If your petition is denied, the denial letter will tell you how to appeal. Generally, you may file a Notice of Appeal along with the required fee with the USCIS office that issued the denial letter. There are specific time requirements for filing an appeal. For more information, see How Do I Appeal?. Once the fee is collected and the form is processed, the appeal will be referred to the Administrative Appeals Unit in Washington, D.C. Sending the appeal directly to the AAU will delay the process. Can Anyone Help Me? If advice is needed, you may contact the USCIS District Office near your home for a list of reputable adoption professionals or agencies that may be able to assist you in applying for an immigration benefit. Please see our USCIS field offices home page for more information on contacting USCIS offices. In addition, please see our webpage that provides information on free legal advice. Frequently Asked Questions Do you want further information? Please see our Frequently Asked Questions. You may also refer to information provided at the June 2002 INS International Conference on Adoption. If you would like information on how to proceed with an adoption in a particular country, please go to the Department of State web pages addressing Country-Specific Adoption and Important Notices. .

I imagine you can get wellbutrin in Indonesia, but I cannot say for sure. It's no big deal if you can't. In Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, where there is state-of-the-art medical services that are as good or better than anything in the USA or Canada, you can be sure to find whatever you want. Indonesia is slowly reaching prosperity and calm, so you may not have to leave for a fabulous overnight trip to either of two of the nicest cities in Asia. Darn.
2 :
FYI, don't listen to the person who said order online and have it shipped. They don't have a clue. Firstly, Indonesia is cracking down on medicines and herbs being shipped in to the country. It wont get past customs, believe me. They'll make you run around to many different government offices paying many different people off with corruption money before you ever have a hope of seeing that medicine, if you ever do. Secondly, bring your original prescription with you if you plan on stopping over in Singapore or Malaysia to buy meds. You'll need it. Otherwise you'll wind up having to pay for another doctors consultation before you can get any meds. Thirdly, a lot of companies will not ship ANYTHING to Indonesia, never mind meds. As to availability, I'm not sure as I have never used this particular pharmaceutical. If in doubt, stock up and bring a doctors letter with you that specifically states why you have to bring so much with you and what you are being treated for.

Most days the guys are out fishing. Only when a hurricane is nearby will they stay off the water. Fishing is their livihood. People in general depend on the fish as well so if they don't go out everybody suffers. I lived east for three years and often went to Indonesia though it was officially out of bounds. Some Malay guys I kept my boat with had pots off the Indonesian coast and went over at night to get the lobsters. Straight to their own pots with no artificial navigation aids like compasses...over 20 miles across the straights, reading the sea. Good folks.....great fishing with them. I miss living there. Here are some long rods....normal for Malaysian and Indonesian flat beaches. Good thing to bring home....cheap there for good rods. http://i750.photobucket.com/albums/xx144/vantzer2/2009/sembawang/15_Fishing.jpg . . .

Commonly referred to as Typhoon season here. The fishermen work pretty much all year. Its not the stone age here. If there is a big storm coming they get out of the water just like the sport fishermen in Florida or the Caribbean. And its been a remarkably mellow storm season for all of Asia. Don't worry! you will be able to get out on the water and haul in some tankers. Luck to you.

I would say that Jakarta is a much safer place today then it was a couple of years ago. During Susilo B. Yudoyhono's (current Pres.) term, he formed a special anti terrorist police force. The police force was successful in killing many terrorists who planned the Bali, Australian emb, and Marriot Hotel bombings.
2 :
Welcome to Indonesia, Miss. Current Indonesia is much safer. There are many Police stations i.e. in Jakarta every 1 Km radius. Here's the testimonial of The tourists who ever been to Indonesia: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070103005224AAcVqNr&r=w&pa=FZptHWf.BGRX3OFMhzxVVOIgo33FBBouF2TKD2Pmr9jGl3puR4ywy.shxCNW6xo.qTNRAcVfZ.eCamvrag--&paid=answered#QMd4WTG1UjXLFsdFJVfNMA0UaxUsHp01OeQfkwzmtgDOKVtuhS9a That's my best solution for you. Nowadays there's no place can guarrantee safety in this world. You could be safer in Indonesia than getting lost in Aurora IL and CO at night.

Hi there! I've been to Jakarta last November til December. generally, its a safe place to visit/live/work. I roamed the streets without fear except when crossing the streets, but I got used to it eventually. in the duration of my stay there, I didn't have any untoward incident. people are nice but only few know how to speak english so better learn some basic Bahasa Indonesia. Its fun and interesting experience. Have a great trip!
6 :
If you're going to Jakarta: Like all capital cities, its security is the top one. Thanks to past bombings and incidents, Jakarta is alert 24/7.
7 :
I was in Jakarta for Christmas and New Year. Yes, there are always fears of something bad is going to happen. But I think the authorities are very good. If you go to any shopping centre, office buildings, hotels, etc there's always a security check. I would go. Indonesia is a geat plave to live & work.

Hi, Apart from what you read above, I would like to add some other thing. 1. Make sure you live in safe area. Most expariates live in Kemang, appartments in Thamrin/sudirman, Menteng. 2. Dont expose jewelery or cash when shoppings. 3. Dont talk to strangers. (In parking area, walking in malls) 4. Take ONLY "Blue bird" or "Silver bird" taxi. That is the only taxi operator that runs with responsibility. (in my opinion). 5. Must enjoy the food!!!!(gado gado - Jakarta style salad with peanut sauce, soto betawi and many more) 6. Keep the emergency number with you in wallet or anyplace that you bring along in daily activity. 7. Preferably to have locals with you whenever you go somewhere more "adventurous". There are thousands of things I can tell you....but instead of listing it down here, you can go to: http://www.jakartaexpat.com - maybe drop some question you want to know more about Jakarta. Yes, no place so called "safe"....I ve been living here in Jakarta 90% of my life....and still alive today ^_^....so.... ENJOY JAKARTA!!!!!!

After 3 months, you are only allowed to stay in Holland as long as you are employed by Dutch/International companies in the Netherlands with certain minimum salaries as kennis migrant (knowledge - high skilled migrant). However, Dutch companies are usually prefer for people who speaks Dutch. So I suggest you to study Dutch as well. Go through these requirements of the Indonesian Government : http://www.expat.or.id/business/expatstayrequirements.html

it is very very complicated for you, (a westerner) to come to indonesia and just work.. unless you know someone who lives here.. you need a work permit, you need all these papers, you will have immigratio and corrupt cops hassling you all the time, trying to get money off you, it is very difficult and stressful.. if you want to work in asia, go to singapore or hongkong..

I know within ASIAN, they do recognize each other degrees, but from india, not quite sure. The best would be to check with Indonesia authorities.
