is teaching english worldwide a good choice

is teaching english worldwide a good choice?
I have excellent english but I cant truly say I am a native speaker. To teach you should be a native speaker. My english is fluent and i have a Aussie accent.I want to work in china, Indonesia or europe and travel at the same time. Is it a good idea

If you're fluent and good at presenting and teaching the material, I don't see why not. You don't have to be a native speaker of the language to successfully teach it - I am a native speaker of English and taught the language successfully, but I have been a student in a class with a native Italian teacher supposedly teaching us Italian and he wasn't very good. He didn't know who to present the material, to get us to practise it, to teach us new things.

Absolutely. I have been doing it off and on for over 10 years. Living and working in other lands and learning their culture is a brilliant way of life.

I would love to do that. If I was single, I would be taking the first job I could find and hop on a plane and go.

Do you have a degree? Do you want to teach "English as a second language" or what? Having an excellent grasp of the English language helps you communicate but does not mean you can teach it. Even being from God's own country (Australia) won't help. Get the piece of paper than use that.
